Our Estate

Les Celliers de Vétroz is situated in the village of Vétroz in the wine region of the Valais. The Valais region produces one-third of Swiss wine.

 

Soil

The soils are marl and limestone of light to medium density.

Altitude

The vineyards are planted at 520-670m above sea level.

 

Irrigation

Drip irrigation.

 

Climate

The climate is generally dry and sunny.

Our Vineyards

Our vineyards are positioned on steep terraced slopes and are hand-harvested. We have 5 hectares under vine planet with the following varieties: 

 

White:

Chasselas/Petite Arvine (indigenous)/Amigne (indigenous - 89% of worldwide plantations are in Vétroz)/Ermitage

 

Red:

Gamay/Pinot Noir/Cornalin (indigenous)/Humagne Rouge (indigenous)/Syrah/Cabernet Franc/Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot
